#375 VINTAGE GIJOE BLACK SCUBA ON A JOE
The full description is at the bottom of the page after all of the photos.

I have been collecting a lot of different things most of my life and Vintage G I Joe for 20 years. I have sold hundreds of vintage GIJoe items in that time. I have sold items on my website, on eBay and on other for sale sites. I have been buying and selling on eBay since the beginning of eBay. My dmckee63 screen name was originally registered in January of 1997 and I have had great success making people happy with what I sold to them.

The time has come for me to thin down my collection and this will be the main place I will do so. I will be working on several pages and groupings of items for sale and linking them all to the main front page. I might also be selling items on eBay to get rid of a few harder to sell items. Please come back regularly to see what I have available. Some of these items will be things you have never seen before and will probably never have a chance to buy again once they are gone. Thank you for your time!

HERE IS A SIDE VIEW SHOWING HOW SHINY THE BLACK RUBBER IS

HERE IS THE OTHER SIDE VIEW WHICH SHOWS HOW SMOOTH AND UNDAMAGED THE BLACK RUBBER IS

HERE IS CLOSE UP OF THE PERFECT FACE OF THE JOE. THE LITTLE WHITE SPECKS IS THESADDLE SOAP COATING ON THE WHOLE SUIT TO HELP PRESERVE IT'S SOFT AND SUPPLE CONDITION. A MOIST PAPER TOWEL OR FINGER WILL REMOVE THOSE LITTLE FLAKES.

HERE IS A PHOTO SHOWING THE AMAZING CONDITION IT IS IN WHICH STILL ALLOWS YOU TO UNZIP THE JACKET. YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE THE SHINY AND CLEAR COATING THE SADDLE SOAP LEAVES ON THE RUBBER. THE SEALED RUBBER WILL KEEP OILY FINGERPRINTS FROM HARDENING THE SUIT AS WELL AS KEEPING AIR FROM DRYING IT OUT.

#375 VINTAGE GIJOE COMPLETE BLACK SCUBA ON A JOE
SORRY about all of the photos but I thought it was important to show every bit of the scuba suit and leave nothing to the imagination. The Joe inside the suit is as close to perfect as you would want. His head is a bit small but I used this Joe so it would not stretch out the rubber hood. The jacket and pants are tight overall so you can see the shape of the Joes arms and legs. The suit is overall VERY smooth, very soft and in close to original condition as you could imagine. It is NOT however as good as new when I put this on the Joe over 15 years ago. I removed the suit directly from a window box so both sleeve and pants cuffs have the original stitching holes in it along with one in the front of the jacket.

I would say this suit should never be removed from this Joe although you probably could with some difficulty and danger of tearing. The suit has been regularly coated to keep the preservation method going but it is still starting to show edge hardening along the hood and zipper areas. I would imagine eventually this will still dry out over a long time but for over 15 years the saddle soap treatment has keep the ravages of time at bay. The whole Joe and the inside of the scuba were also heavily coated when the suit was first put on and has also helped keep this beautiful original 1964-65 scuba suit looking so nice. The suit has NEVER had anything unnatural applied to it like brake fluid or any other chemical. It has been in my display case for at least 15 years and maybe a bit longer. The saddle soap from Kiwi is what we used to coat the inside of baseball gloves with to make them more supple. These black vintage scubas with the covered zippers used to be a really expensive item back in the hey day of collecting. I am selling this now for only $500 including postage in the U.S.
