VINTAGE G I JOE TRUE FIRST ISSUE ACTION SOLDIER SMALL CARD SIX PIECE COLLECTION
The full description is at the bottom of the page. Please read the notes under each photo as well. There is a good story to tell.

I have been collecting a lot of different things most of my life and Vintage G I Joe for 20 years. I have sold hundreds of vintage GIJoe items in that time. I have sold items on my website, on eBay and on other for sale sites. I have been buying and selling on eBay since the beginning of eBay. My dmckee63 screen name was originally registered in January of 1997 and I have had great success making people happy with what I sold to them.

The time has come for me to pare down my collection and this will be the main place I will do so. I will be working on several pages and groupings of items for sale and linking them all to the main front page. I will also be selling items on eBay to get rid of a few harder to sell items. Please come back regularly to see what I have available. Some of these items will be things you have never seen before and will probably never have a chance to buy again once they are gone. Thank you for your time!

TRUE FIRST ISSUE ACTION SOLDIER #7507 HELMET CARD
At first glance this looks like an ordinary Soldier Helmet. But on further inspection you will see this is a perfect first issue large helmet with the big clips, still on the card. You can see the close up of the helmet shows you how perfect AND large it is. Check out the light green first issue strap and the interesting MADE IN HONG KONG foil tag inside the bag with the camouflage leaves. I would say the inside of this helmet also has the large HASBRO JAPAN writing and based on the way the helmet is indenting the card, it probably has the large round clips, the little plastic loops where you put the strap hook. I've seen a few of these cards here and there but this one is perfect with no tears or any problems at all and it does have the original helmet sticker.

TRUE FIRST ISSUE ACTION SOLDIER #7519 PONCHO CARD
This is the absolute first issue, probably one of the first shipments of normal merchandise that came over from Hong Kong in 1964. Note the wording on the bottom right corner, showing that it was made before the attorneys made Hasbro mention "British Crown Colony" of Hong Kong. Look at the white contrast stitching and the very rounded cut of the hood; all first issue indicators. The poncho inside is still as perfectly soft as the day it was made. I would guess this also has the large rounded snaps inside. There are no cello tears but both top corners have minute poke throughs of the very sharp square corners of the card. I have never found another card like this. Even finding a loose poncho like this is a rare occurrence.

TRUE FIRST ISSUE ACTION SOLDIER #7509 MESS KIT CARD
You have to look at this package for a long time to notice what is different. I have handed this piece to a half dozen hard core collectors in person and none of them saw what is unusual about it. If you look carefully, especially at the close up you can see the extra loop on the pan of the mess kit. Also interesting to note that there is no hook on the mess kit lid. This is literally the only card like this in existence as far as I can tell. This is the real gem in this mini first issue collection. You can see the early MADE IN HONG KONG markings on the back of the card and the manual is glued onto the card. The cello is literally perfect with no rips or poke throughs. There is one problem and that it at the hinge of the pan; both of the little plastic beads have broken off. They are clearly shown still rolling around inside the pan. VERY curiously, the original store price sticker on the front top of the card IS AN EXACT MATCH to the price tag on my empty T M - T M Soldier box. The Code 949900 (I could speculate that this is a SEARS price sticker but I'll have to do some research) is the same on both too, making this even more compelling as a collection with all of the other first issue packages. It does not get any more FIRST ISSUE than an EXTRA LOOP MESS KIT still sealed on the card. This card alone is worth the price I am charging for the whole set.

TRUE FIRST ISSUE ACTION MARINE CAMOUFLAGE SMALL CARD
I said these were all Soldier cards but this is worth putting in this mini collection. No helmet sticker but the markings on the back of the card make it first issue. Also, the manual glued onto the back is the biggest hint that this is truly the first batch ever made. You can clearly see a hand inked in "MADE IN BRITISH CROWN COLONY OF HONG KONG". I bet someone screwed up the artwork when they were first printing up the manuals and some attorney would not let them ship the item without the markings so they hand stamped the words in. Can you imagine the poor person who has to do that? I bet it was the artwork type setter who screwed up to begin with that had to stamp these in blue ink. I actually have a couple of loose manuals stamped like this and I have seen a couple of cards like this one with this manual. Check out also how light green the netting is and I think there are 6 pieces of plastic foliage in the little bag too. No cello tears on this one at all, the only flaw is the missing helmet sticker.

FIRST ISSUE ACTION SOLDIER #7511 CAMOUFLAGE NETTING CARD
I am including this card in with the others because it looks very first issue and has the right markings. The one HUGE difference is that there is no hole at the top and no grommet either. This card was not made like all of the others to be hung on a display wall. It is possible this was supposed to be included inside of another package, like one of the special Sears sets or maybe even a 1968 special value pack or footlocker. Nonetheless this card was barely worth saving as the cello is completely torn up and the card can slip out of it. The cello is a match though, there is no hang hole, and there is a store price sticker so it looks like the real deal. A good throw in to the collection because it is made so differently.

TRUE FIRST ISSUE SOLDIER #7509 MESS KIT CARD
This is also definitely a true first issue card but it has a normal mess kit on the card. The real interest here are the large round snaps on the canteen cover. The proper MADE AND PRINTED IN HONG KONG on the back, no markings on the first issue glued on manual. No helmet sticker but no tears in the cello. Both top corners have very tiny poke throughs but they are less than one quarter inch wide.

VINTAGE G I JOE TRUE FIRST ISSUE ACTION SOLDIER SMALL CARD 6 PIECE COLLECTION
All of these cards hold their value in where and how differently they were made and in turn are all rare. They are more interesting together as a set so I am selling them this way. I also have all 4 M. P. cards that are all first issue to go with this set. I am selling them separately. If you like sealed accessory cards and are a true first issue collector then this combination should add greatly to your collection. The 6 cards shown here are only sold together as a set for $500
