VINTAGE G I JOE TRUE FIRST ISSUE ACTION SOLDIER EMPTY BOX IN HIGH GRADE CONDITION
The full description is at the bottom of the page after all of the photos.

I have been collecting a lot of different things most of my life and Vintage G I Joe for 20 years. I have sold hundreds of vintage GIJoe items in that time. I have sold items on my website, on eBay and on other for sale sites. I have been buying and selling on eBay since the beginning of eBay. My dmckee63 screen name was originally registered in January of 1997 and I have had great success making people happy with what I sold to them.

The time has come for me to pare down my collection and this will be the main place I will do so. I will be working on several pages and groupings of items for sale and linking them all to the main front page. I will also be selling items on eBay to get rid of a few harder to sell items. Please come back regularly to see what I have available. Some of these items will be things you have never seen before and will probably never have a chance to buy again once they are gone. Thank you for your time!

ITEM #141 - VINTAGE GIJOE T M - T M SOLDIER TRUE FIRST ISSUE EMPTY BOX
This is an almost perfect box as you can see by the overall top view of both pieces.

HERE IS A CLOSE UP OF THE BOTTOM END OF BOTH PIECES OF THE BOX

HERE IS A CLOSE UP OF THE BOTTOM END OF THE TOP OF THE BOX
This is about as good a condition box as you can find. The only wear on the box lid is at the bottom two corners where the label has worn down and started to wear the cardboard underneath. The price tag even shows how early this boxed Joe arrived in the stores. I really think this helps add value to the package being the absolute first shipment of boxed Joes. A price sticker like this would be extremely difficult to fake given the low tech nature of the printing.

HERE IS A CLOSE UP OF THE BOTTOM END OF THE TOP OF THE BOX
The one top corner has a slight touch of wear, the corner has a bit of peeling but the little tab is still attached.

HERE IS A CLOSE UP OF THE INSIDE OF THE LID AND THE BOTTOM OF THE BASE
Look how bright white the bottom paper wrapper still is. I have handled this box very little over the years and it has been kept in a nice protective plastic bag and plastic case which will be included with the sale.

HERE IS A CLOSE UP OF THE DATE ON THE INSIDE OF THE LID.
I personally think this date is from the label manufacturer, a printer's mark when the label was run on the printer.

HERE IS A CLOSE UP OF THE INSIDE OF THE WHITE PAPER WRAPPED BASE OF THE BOX
This is a really good close up to show you that the cardboard was white in the inside and they wrapped the brown side of it with white paper. I believe this was done to add value to the Joe to help justify it's $4 price in 1964 which was probably equal to about $50 in today's devalued dollar.

ITEM #141 - VINTAGE GIJOE ACTION SOLDIER T M - T M EMPTY BOX
I have been chasing after true first issue boxes in high grade condition for over 15 years. This is the only box I have ever found that would fit in my collection. I have seen a ton of complete first issue boxes with all of the stuff inside but again the boxes were almost always in really rough condition. This is GENUINELY A RARE BOX IN RARE CONDITION. The inside of the box bottom has some scuffing from paperwork that used to be inside but that just helps prove it's authenticity. The bit of wear on the 3 corners is very minimal and everything else is almost perfect. Being able to buy just the box by itself is hard to do but in this condition you may never see a box this for sale nice again. It is priced accordingly at $700.
